Dear Fellow Managers!
As the organizer of the Top Division U20 Ice Hockey World Championship, I would like to invite you to a prediction pool game during the World Championship. You can join FOR FREE to the game any time, but the sooner the better. Why would you like to play? Of course nice prizes are awaiting for you. Thanks to a few members of the Hungarian community, right now the prize pool adds up to 430 credits. If any of you thinks, he/she could donate some credits for the game to have more fun, I would happily accept it and I would say thanks, but it is not necessary to send credits to participate.
At the end of the game, we will send credits to the best managers. Right now I cannot say surely, how many of you will get credits and how many, it depends on the number of the participants and the final number of credits, but I can promise, you won’t be unsatisfied.
The game will be available here, this is the place where you can make your tips: ppm.powerplaymanager.com/... will refresh the standings on a daily basis after every round on the official page of the World Cup.
Here are the rules: In each round (gameday) we will choose a few games from the WC games in every age category. You will have to guess, what will be the result of the game after 3 periods, 1, X or 2 and how many goals will the teams score. For example: Hungary U20 – Slovenia U20 X, 6 goals.
For each good guess, you will get 1 point. If you predict the number of goals correctly, too, you get another point. If your tip is plus-minus one goal far from the exact number of goals, you get 0,5 point. (E.g.: Tip: Hungary – Slovenia X, 6 goals, Result: Hungary – Slovenia 3-3, you get 2 points; or Tip: Hungary – Slovenia X, 7 goals, Result: Hungary – Slovenia 3-3, you get 1.5 points.)
In the first round you will have the possibility to guess, which team will win the World Championship: in the end, we will reward the right predictions with 3 credits. Moreover, if the final result in the game cannot be simply decided, this guess could be the decision maker, even if it is not correct. (E.g.: X and Y has 25 points in the end, the final is played by Latvia and Switzerland, Latvia wins. X named Slovakia as World Champion, Y named Switzerland. In this case, Y ends up in a higher position, because his tip was closer to the final result of the World Cup.
In the first and second group stage we will publish the chosen games for the 3 matchdays in advance. It depends on you, if you want to make your tips also in advance for the 3 days or you will make your tips on a daily basis. From the playoff stage, we will refresh the matchlist day to day.
You need to make your tip list for the given day at least one hour before the beginning of the first match on that day. If you cannot make it, then your tips for that day will be invalid.
